With a growing experience, including microbial optimization of living soil media specific to cannabis, as well as experience with plant genetics and breeding, and designing coursework related to postharvest biotechnology.

He worked with a permitted cannabis farm implementing a living soil system that was integrated with the local ecosystem. Additional work with soils resulted in faster growth rates and a significant reduction in water usage during the hottest part of the growing season. He also designed financial and operational models for the farm’s existing and proposed future projects.

Ido completed his M.Sc. in biotechnology at the Hebrew University in Israel and is currently pursuing a PhD specializing in altering the metabolism of agricultural plants including cannabis utilizing dsRNA.
